The sole objective of the operations of CRC is to give an opportunity to children who are affected by war, civil commotions, poverty, malnutrition and abuse by adults. To realize this objective the CRC is continuously involved in organizing training programs, seminars as well as implementing projects giving these young children an invaluable access to proper education facilities, good healthcare and a comfortable home environment which enable them to what they want to be in the future.
The Child Rehabilitation Center was established in order to reach out to the women and children who became the victims of the three decade long ethnic conflict prevailed in Sri Lanka from the late 70s to 2009. The CRC henceforth conducted its operations stating its charitable work on 23rd of December 1998 as a Community Based Organization until it was registered as an NGO in 2003.
The CRC is registered with the Ministry of Social Services in Sri Lanka.

To improve the socio—economic conditions of the rural communities by encouraging and providing assistance, in agricultural, fisheries, small scale enterprises and cottage industrial activities with participatory methodology such as advice, research and training, on low-cost water supply and sanitation, new technologies and how to improve productivity.

To elicit the help of Government Organizations and Institutions, Funding agencies and Donors, Foreign Embassies and High commissions who are looking for ways to help, support and implement Rehabilitation and Reconstruction programs in rural areas of the country where minima aid or help is received.
Child rehabilitation Centre was established with the sole objective of make a protective environment for children without any kind of discrimination. In doing so CRC has made its efforts towards ensuring equal opportunities in education, health and social security for children. Our belief is that every child should enter adulthood in a positive and supportive environment.
The CRC is comprised of community leaders, farmers and workmen, urban and rural organizations and many other supportive individuals. Our operations are carried out directly and through the said community groups in order to fulfill our objectives in benefiting the children and their families who are marginalized or neglected. At present we have 50 community based organizations that are growing at a commendable speed.
At the beginning we launched our operations in 20 divisional secretariats in Ampara district and with your generous contributions towards this worthy cause we are hoping to expand our charitable services to the entire Eastern Province of Sri Lanka which includes Trincomalee and Batticaloa Districts.
